This is a 200-mile relay race from Calistoga to Santa Cruz ("Wine to Weed"). Teams of 12 runners rotate around the clock, and everybody runs approximately three 10K's, although the lengths and difficulties of the legs vary quite a bit. This year Tracy Northup was the team captain, and she was nice enough to invite us up to a family cabin in Calistoga to relax the night before the race. Although we were not quite as organized as last year (3 runners got lost), we were quite a bit faster. Last year Daniel and I were in the second van, but this time we were in the first van, so we got to see all different parts of the course.
